ISO 9001 Certification.

There are more than 640,000 companies worldwide are certified to ISO 9001.

Many hear about the ISO 9001 for the first time only when a potential customer comes to ask if the company has this certification.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO, according to internationally accepted abbreviation) is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and is formed by a network of national standards institutes of 156 countries, one member in each country.

The purpose of ISO is to reach a consensus on solutions that meet business and social demands (for both clients and users). These standards are met voluntarily since the ISO, with a nongovernmental entity, does not have the authority to enforce them.

However, as has happened with the quality management systems adapted to ISO 9000, these standards may become a requirement for a company to remain in a competitive position within the market.

What is ISO 9001?

The ISO 9001 is an international standard that applies to quality management systems (QMS), which focuses on all elements of quality management that a company needs to have an effective system that allows you to manage and improve the quality of their products or services.

The customers favor suppliers that have this accreditation because this way they ensure that the selected company has a good quality management system (QMS).

This accreditation demonstrates that the organization is recognized by more than 640,000 companies worldwide.

Every six months, a certifcadores agent performs an audit of registered companies in order to ensure compliance with the conditions imposed by ISO 9001. Thus, clients of registered companies are spared the inconvenience of dealing with quality control of suppliers and, in turn, these providers should only be audited, rather than several different clients. Providers worldwide must adhere to the same rules.
